On July 13th Spokane Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery sponsored their 1st annual blood drive in partnership with Inland Northwest Blood Center. Ten employees from Spokane Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Travis Coulter and EPJ Orthodontics gave blood for a good cause. We would like to thank everyone who took time to volunteer and look forward to participating with INBC next year for another successful blood drive. Interesting facts about blood:
- 4.5 million Americans will need a blood transfusion every year
- Someone needs blood every two seconds
- Healthy adults who are at least 17 years old, and at least 110 pounds may donate blood
- The human body has enough blood vessels to encircle the earth more than twice
